The benefits of exercise

Exercise is great for you. To be honest it’s hard to exercise wrongly because of the amount of different things we can do to keep ourselves fit and active.

That being said lifting the biscuits to your mouth does not count at exercise so sadly we need to do other things to exercise.

We want to be doing something that challenges us but not to the point of making us want to stop. It needs to be fun for you so if it’s playing with the kids, lifting weights, marathon running or swimming there’s plenty of things for everyone to keep fit.

The benefits of exercise are as follows;

  1. Reduced pain
  2. Increased strength levels
  3. Improved mobility
  4. Improved balance
  5. Improved self esteem levels
  6. A sense of achievement
  7. Increased happiness levels
  8. Improved bone density
  9. Improved heart and lung function
  10. Able to better manage our weight
  11. Reduced blood pressure
  12. Help protect against other chronic diseases
  13. There are many more to list but I think you can get the jist of what I’m trying to say here.

If the benefits of exercise were able to be given as a pill then whoever selling it would be one of the richest people on the planet. If it were widely available we would all be taking it as there’s so many benefits with very little if any drawbacks.

If there’s anything that’s stopping you from exercising, staying fit or if you even just want advice on where to start let me know and I’ll be able to help you out.
