Dylan Doherty
Head Physiotherapist
I’m Dylan Doherty, founder and Head Physiotherapist of All Out Physiotherapy in Paisley. For over 10 years, I’ve been helping people across Paisley, Renfrewshire, and beyond recover from injury, overcome pain, and get back to doing the things that matter most to them.
My journey as a physiotherapist began in the NHS, where I worked across multiple specialities. I quickly realised that while patients often received short-term relief, many were left frustrated because they hadn’t had enough time or support to make a full recovery. This experience shaped the way I practice today putting patients’ long-term outcomes at the centre of everything I do.
Alongside my NHS work, I was involved in professional sport, treating players from Forth Valley Football Academy, Stirling University Ladies Football Club and Scottish Hockey. Working with athletes at the highest level taught me the importance of precision, accountability, and performance-based rehab principles I bring to every patient I see, whether they are a weekend runner, someone struggling with back pain at work, or recovering from surgery.
When the lockdowns hit, I used the time to completely rethink and refine my methods. I invested in mentorships, studied human movement and force steadiness how muscles work together, not just in isolation and rebuilt my approach from the ground up. This research now underpins the philosophy at All Out Physiotherapy: combining hands-on treatment for fast pain relief with targeted rehab that tackles the root cause so patients regain what I call “thoughtless, fearless movement”.
This is the ability to move freely and confidently, without pain or hesitation. With force steadiness its best to consider it like this: we don’t use 100% of our power during the day at all times and so our rehabilitation has to take this into consideration. If muscles don’t work together when moving or lifting something that isn’t too heavy then it would be a huge ask of them to do the same when doing something strenuous.
Our framework of rehabilitation allows us to rebuild things from the ground up, focussing on muscle groups working in harmony together, then building in the strength and movement and finally ascending to the point of thoughtless, fearless movement.
I specialise in:
Sports injuries and recurring niggles
Back and Neck pain
Musculoskeletal rehabilitation
Complex or long-standing injuries
Post-operative rehab and joint replacement recovery
Sports screening and performance optimisation
To deliver the best outcomes, I use a blend of:
Manual therapy, massage, cupping, and acupuncture (AACP registered)
Individualised exercise programs tailored to each stage of recovery
Sports screening and strength & conditioning in our on-site rehab gym
A Trusted Local Clinic
At All Out Physiotherapy in Paisley, we’ve grown to become the leading clinic in Renfrewshire, trusted by athletes, professionals, and families alike. With over 120 five-star reviews, our reputation has been built on one thing: getting results that last.
Outside the Clinic
Away from physiotherapy, I’m a proud father of two, which gives me first-hand understanding of the need to make rehab fit around busy family and work life. I also enjoy weightlifting and car detailing — hobbies that keep me focused, disciplined, and connected to the importance of looking after your body.
